The way the government is handling the
Orleans mess is a joke. Except there is nothing funny about
this. And the politicians trying to blame everyone else.
Both sides are at fault here and they should stop worrying about
making political ground and concentrate on the problem at
hand. Kind of scary isn't it. Things like this is the
reason it is time for Common Americans to get together and
take their country back. Both political parties main concern
is staying in power. It is time we get people in there whose
main concern is fixing problems and getting back home as soon as
possible. It won't happen with the Dems or the
Repubs.
Little did I realize that when I
issued the warning below about not allowing foreign troops into this
country that it would happen so soon, even though I had a very
uneasy feeling about it happening.
This is NOT good. Even though
the troops are not armed (yet), it
shouldn't be happening. They are going to supply water
treatment plants? Isn't this one of the countries that you
hear don't drink the water?
People will say this isn't such a bad
thing, they are only trying to help and they aren't armed.
First, if they really want to help then let them work at keeping
their people from crossing our borders illegally. Instead of
giving them information on how to do it and saying we don't have a
right to close our borders. Second, this is how things get
started, small steps in ways that don't seem harmful. The next
time it will be something else a little more important and then the
next time maybe some of the soldiers will be armed. Then the
next time all of the troops will be armed.
WAKE UP AMERICA, while it still is the
United States of America. This is America, we DO NOT need
soldiers on our soil from another country. If Mexico really
wants to help let them help keeping their citizens on their side of
the border. If we allow this to happen without raising hell,
then it will happen again and again. Write, email, and call
your representives and senators and raise cain with them. Read
my warning below, now it has happened and it will only get worse if
we don't speak up.

Mexican
army convoys
bringing aid toU.S.

A convoy of Mexican army trucks
drives past the city of San Luis Potosi on its way to the U.S.,
Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005. The convoy, carrying water treatment plants,
mobile kitchens and supplies to feed the victims of Hurricane
Katrina is expected to arrive in Laredo, Texas, sometime
Wednesday.
MEXICO CITY --A Mexican army aid convoy set out for the U.S. border
Tuesday, carrying water treatment plants, mobile kitchens and
supplies to feed the victims of Hurricane
Katrina.
Large Mexican flags were taped to many of the
35 green-painted Mexican army trucks and tractor trailers as they
rumbled northward, in what apparently will be the first Mexican
military unit to operate on U.S. soil since 1846.
The trucks, carrying 195 unarmed soldiers,
officers and specialists, were expected to arrive in Laredo, Texas,
sometime Wednesday. From there they are to proceed to Houston, where
they will apparently be used to produce water and hot
meals.
The convoy included two mobile kitchens that
can feed 7,000 people each per day, three flatbed trucks carrying
mobile water treatment plants, and 15 trailers of bottled water,
blankets and applesauce.
It also includes military engineers, doctors
and nurses.
In 1846, Mexican troops briefly advanced just
north of the Rio Grande in Texas, which had then recently joined the
United States. Mexico, however, did not then recognize the Rio
Grande as the U.S. border.
The two countries quickly became mired in the
Mexican-American War, which led to the loss of half of Mexico's
territory in 1848.
Mexico sent a squadron of pilots to train in
the United States in the 1940s, but they served outside the United
States -- in the Philippines -- in World War II.
In 1916, the revolutionary leader Pancho
Villa led a group of irregular fighters in a brief raid into
Columbus, N.M., in what is considered the last battle against
foreign forces on U.S. soil.
Mexico was planning another 12-vehicle aid
convoy to leave Tuesday or Wednesday and already has a Mexican navy
ship steaming toward the Mississippi coast with rescue vehicles and
helicopters.
Foreign Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez has
said Mexico is setting up consular offices in trailers around the
disaster zone to help some of the estimated 140,000 Mexicans who
live in the region, 10,000 of them in New Orleans.
In addition, help was offered by a
search-and-rescue group called "topos" -- which translates as
"moles" -- organized by youths who dug through collapsed buildings
after Mexico City's 1985 earthquake.
I find it very troubling to see
the pictures of the people in the New Orleans area and then I get
mad. It is America, yet the area looks like a third world
country.
It is understandable about
things being in chaos to start off, but what is happening to some
of these people is almost criminal.
As I write this I heard today
that there was 250 million dollars earmarked to reinforce and
upgrade the levee's in the New Orleans area. This was during
the time Clinton was president and the money was not used for
that. It was also earmarked under Bush but was diverted to the
war effort. If this is true how sad. If this is true
then people from both administrations need to answer
questions.
If this is true then what would
have been the best investment? You know now that money will be
poured into the area to make sure this doesn't happen again.
But pouring money into an area that has losses in billions.
Plus the loss of life. How much is a life worth?
Wouldn't it had been a better investment to fix the levees years ago
when the money was made available? I am sure the people who
lost their life would have thought so.
WARNING!! A number of countries
have offered to send troops and police to help our country during
this disaster. To help patrol the area. BEWARE!!! We as a
country can never allow or even entertain the idea of ever allowing
this to happen. There is a number of ways people are trying to
gain control over our country. Supreme court justices make a
ruling and refering to laws of another country. WTO, WHO, UN
and others saying we as a country have to do or accept a certain
thing.
This is America, we DO
NOT need any troops or police from any other country to make sure
our country is safe. If our resources as a country are
stretched out too thin, then we need to pull out of some of
our commitments that is everywhere but here at our home.
WE CAN NEVER ALLOW
ANOTHER COUNTRY TO SEND TROOPS OR POLICE TO HELP US PROTECT OUR
COUNTRY! ONCE WE DO THIS, THEN THIS WILL BE THE BEGINNING OF
THE END OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY! WE MUST KEEP OUR EYES ON
SOMETHING SUCH AS THIS AND MAKE SURE IF WE EVER SEE IT TO PUT A
VOICE TO IT AND HELP STOP IT!
To think about all the money
that has been spent since 911 and the planning that was suppose to
help make us safer and to deal with disasters that might
happen. Then to see how this who Orleans Disaster is being
handled makes you wonder how safe we would be if we were targeted
and something bad happened in 2, 3, 4 or more places. It
appears that FEMA worked better before all of the reorganization of
Homeland Security. Do you feel safer now after being a witness
to see how well Homeland Security is working?
