One of the things that made this country great is that everyone that came to this country for a better life also tried to be a part of this country and made sure that they learned English.  We can all talk to each other and it is one thing that made this country great.  People could understand each other.  NOW it is not unusual to try and order something and the person you are dealing with doesn't speak English, or at least very well.   Why should we have to learn something other then English in our own country?  If I go to another country I would be expected to communicate in their  language.
